a 40-minute flight was delayed about 6 hours, then cancelled, then re-routed, then had to stand in "customer service" line 4 hours, then got new flight (another 5 hours later), and they said they rebooked the final connecting flight, but when I landed - nothing. The connecting airline had zero record of me or my supposed-ticket. Stuck in HK airport another 6 hours.

At least I finally got there and didn't lose cost of flight ticket.

I did also have AA flight cancelled (in Barcelona), but to their credit they had entire plane (300+) rebooked within 45 minutes. And hotel+meal+shuttle.

Uhmm, this isn't new. For decades now they have been this bad. A week doesn't go by that something isn't in the news about them screwing over passengers. Unfortunately the sheep keep them in business. If it isn't them getting kicked off, they don't care.

Gonna have to find the previous video to this one he keeps referring to, because this one doesn't tell me shit. "They brought the plane because we got angry." Really? This one just doesn't tell the whole story.

I really don't like this guy's attitude. You can't just demand another plane show up, they snap their fingers, and it happens. It takes time, and this prick thinks his mob mentality was helping the situation.

Here's probably the real reason Cenk got booted, a clip of him shouting down the staff as one of the other customers in line is trying tell Cenk to back off.

I find this unsurprising on all levels. The airlines care about profits, and the passengers are just cargo to them so the shoddy situation isn't uncommon. Also, Cenk always seems to have this entitled and enraged attitude in ever video I see him in, so him going ballistic at everyone is unsurprising. Him getting booted from the flight is not surprising, but given how little I think of Cenk's behaviour, it's oddly satisfying,

True, but when they tell you the plane has left the hanger and will be there soon...and then 5 hours later there's still no plane and they say the exact same thing, it's absolutely clear and unequivocal that they lied to you 5 hours earlier, so why would you think they're not lying now?

I always give them the benefit of a doubt UNTIL they lie. Once they lie about what's happening, all bets are off.

This is a big part of why I fly as little as possible. I HATE giving an industry that's SO anti-customer service and that lies at every turn a dime. Sometimes there's no choice, but if there is, I'll drive up to 12 hours to avoid any airline. Screw those liars.

I dont like cenk for two reasons.

His treatment via completely misrepresentation of Sam Harris is so bad its intellectual dishonesty comparible to and sometimes worse than a fox news talking head.

Cenk WAS a denier of the Armenian genocide and wrote a paper back in his school days in which he put those beliefs to hard paper. Despite him having named his network after a group responsible in said genocide, he is quite adamant that he has changed his opinion and admits younger him was wrong.

I've not looked close enough to say if he's reformed or not, but the entirety of his personality and behaviour today is so jerkish I strongly dislike him regardless of if he's reformed from his 'worse' past.

Wow, that taught me two things that I'd somehow completely missed - 1) Cenk is apparently still incredibly evasive about the Armenian genocide, at least as of his Reddit AMA of 2 years ago, and 2) the origin of the name the Young Turks. I'd always completely and only assumed that it meant 'headstrong newcomers' - I didn't know shit about the Jön Türkler movement. Thanks!
