These two put many many groups to shame. Two people, Two instruments, and they still wipe the floor with 99% of so-called "rock" groups with a ton of equipment and people.

I adore this band. Definitely my all-time favorite.

I went to see them live last week. This video doesn't do the band justice (I think that way about a lot of outdoor performances, the crowd isn't nearly as into it when it's not in a small sweaty building). The energy was absolutely intense at the show I went to, and I haven't had that much fun in a long, long time.

Oh, and also, their new album "Icky Thump" is fantastic. Anyone (even people who aren't big WS fans) who like rock should give that album a try. Great stuff.

Icky Thump....from "The Goodies" episode with the black puddings.....yer right about the Stripes, it's the combination of many things, the relationship of the two, the great songwriting, and the simple, addictive melodies....always been a formula that appeals....plus, live performance makes a band, and they are dedicated to those shows.....!!!
