We need more videos of Japanese TV! I love seeing CD players being wrecked and kids learning how to Poop. And what's up with those gameshows where people get beaten by guys with baseball bats and male contestants get their ears chewed on by toothless old men? Seriously, this is some funny stuff- for a citizenry with such a reputation for being subdued and concerned with manners and customs, they sure have some crazy shit on their TVs!

How is it that that Japanese TV can be so rediculously silly, and yet enthrallingly entertaining?

Right on, blankman and dag! In fact, I've often wondered how come no one has ever created a channel of only-japanese shows subtitled for international audiences the way Italian, French, German, Arabic, and other channels are available for international audiences.

don't they have a-la-carte international channels available with some satelite dishs like DishNetwork? Spike tv I think tried a few Japanese shows, but they dubbed them so insultingly that I found it unwatchable.
