Vampire Weekend - A-punk

This fresh band has a new LP entitled "Vampire Weekend". Their sound is upbeat and playful and they add a lot of great ideas to existing genres of music. Pick it up when you get a chance. I love it from start to finish.

Oddly enough I saw this video a few weeks ago and swore I was going to sift it but then promptly forgot to. Looks like I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue.

Oh very cool sift! I just got this record and it's sublime, apparently some sort of fusion of two types of african (north and south) pop music with their own twist. Original and really upbeat, love it

So basically, it's Paul Simon.

No, there's no similarity to ska. this is just plain old pop music. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not ska.
