qruelsays...i remember about ten years ago encountering something like this off the coast of key west, florida. but it was only one spout. We were nervous enough with one, I think two would've gave me a heart attack. I wonder how rare having two form side by side are?

The differentiation between a waterspout and a tornado is more involved than I ever knew. Here I always thought it was as simple as what it was moving over.
