Train Suicide Fail (And that's a good thing)

A mentally unstable woman attempted to commit suicide by train in Israel on May 31st.

She wandered along the track until the car barrier went down, and despite a railroad employee warning her that a train was coming, she simply got on the track and sat down in front of the train.

You can see her marked by the red circle at the top of the video. The railroad employee is at the bottom left.

As the train was going by everyone there thought she was surely dead, but she simply got up after, got into her car and drove off, suffering only minor scratches it seems.

Maybe she didn't want to commit suicide, but she just wanted to test if you could survive by lying between the tracks. If you want to commit suicide you either jump in front of the train or lie on the rails.
Interesting camera system by the way, it seems to track vehicles and people.

Even assuming that's what she was doing, suppose the outcome of her "experiment" was that no, you can't survive it?
You can't really put yourself in a situation where you're likely to end up dead with no good reason, and not call it a suicide attempt...

^ It seems odd to call that a suicide attempt. Maybe she did it for the thrill, knowing that she wouldn't die (or not caring). Maybe she was well aware of the camera and just wanted to see if it would make the news (I know people like that).

If she was seriously trying to kill herself then that is about the equivalent of someone trying to commit suicide with the wrong end of a shotgun.

Well, I looked it up a bit deeper. It seems she is a 56 year old who just lost her job.

After the incident, the police looked around for her, and located her car with her inside suffering from a medium head injury, and brought her to a hospital.
They're convinced it's a suicide attempt, they just don't know why yet.
