When I first immigrated to the States in the 90s Tom Green was a big deal and everyone thought he was funny. I really couldn't see why people found it funny because all I saw was some asshole deliberately pissing everyone off. I just took it as 'American humor' but apparently that wasn't it either. 90s was really weird for America....
