The News is Laughing at You

Fox News blows my mind.
Guess which one of the panelists is not a friend of Fox. hint: it's the one that they interrupt and laugh at.
His Names is David Sirota and he blogged about his experience

And this is why I personally no longer honestly trust any media source. They try their best to control the opinions of millions of people everyday. Instead of reporting the news they show things like this. This is entertainment. This is just like Entertainment Tonight and all those other shows that take a WILD spin on current events. They just turn what people used to look to for educated, accurate news, into a circus. The only thing I will ever watch on Fox is Family guy, and even that is taking a large turn for the worse. It's a sad country we live in but you know what I do? I turn off the television. Worst American invention ever.

Oh, Fox. What a shining example of the new society: Shouting down reason, civilized debate, cooperation and fact in the name of what, exactly? Bumping up and protecting the companies that shit on everyone including them without regard or compassion?

This makes me sick to my stomach.

Why do people still watch fucking FOX? Its a collective group of shiny over-privileged cunt bag twats. I personally want to end their endless reign of right wing bullshit with logic and reason bombs.

Yes fox is full of shit, and their methods of argument are awful. But there's a good case for not regulating oil prices.

Oil use has a lot of negative externalities, like pollution.
High oil prices spur development of alternative energy, encourage people to not buy awfully inefficient SUVs and encourage people to live closer to where they work and/or find jobs that are closer to cheap residential areas. Anyone who commutes more than an hour every day is certainly overlooking a better alternative. In short, high oil prices are good for the environment and almost every job in the country is either close enough to low-cost housing or connected by mass transit to low-cost housing.

Just a reminder to everyone. Before Bus took office in 2000 gas prices were around $1.35 in my area (upstate NY). Today they are around $3.10. American's are used to their gas guzzling vehicles and governments and industry have not developed the public transportation system due to low gas prices. We are not ready for gas price increase of more than double in 7 years. It's a major political problem. I also think that supply and demand only attributes to a small portion of the price increase.

Screw you FOX for not reporting on the obvious facts. As Jon Stewart once said, "you are hurting America". He said that in reference to CNN but it applies to FOX even more.

I think that high gas prices are good actually. It reduces unnecessary consumption and directs people to use public transport. Of course it can be a pain if there is no public transport...

I live in Finland where the price for gas is about about double to that in US (3.10 dollars?). It is because of heavy taxes. So far our society hasn't crumbled...

Bottomline: gas-hogging SUVs are stupid, bicycles are fun and sexy and people should walk more.

Well, I can't even handle 4 minutes of this Fox News shit. I had to stop it before it was over. It's getting harder and harder to just laugh at the people who watch this stuff and think it's real news instead of propaganda. I feel sorry for them and our country.

Irishman, unfortunately, what you're saying is quite false. It's not just the deep southern US that listens to it, but I'll use my experiences there as an example. I visit my family in Tennessee quite often, and it blows my mind how many people not only watchto Fox News, but worship it. Bill O'Reilly can do/say no wrong, and this video would only seem 'fair and balanced' in their eyes, because they say that's what it is.
