We could use a medical channel. Doc Snooze?
therealblankmansays...This is a very elegant idea. Hope it pans out.
lertadsays...Great post dag, just read about this and came to check if someone's already posted.
More information here: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/04/10/60minutes/main4006951.shtml
It's also a shame that this would probably be published by now if it was named something like "Radio Waves & Hot Dogs - the Next Cure for Cancer"
laurasays...They can test it out on me. Where do I volunteer?
Seriously, thanks dag... HOPE! Gotta love it.

I'm really liking these 60 Minutes clips. Nice that they let you go full-screen too.
snoozedoctorsays...I saw this the other day. Fascinating. Medical channel? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Intrigue.
westysays...emgin having your testicals injected with nano rust and then subjected to high frequency radio thats got to hurt.
giving the time it takes for anything medically it normally takes years . be cool though
charliemsays...Very nice.
Was watching this and before the mention of nanoparticles, I had the same thought.
Why not use nano-particles with targeting proteins ?
And they are!!
Fascinating stuff, who is doing the major research on this, and where can I find out more ?
siftbotsays...This post has been removed from the Science channel by channel owner rembar. Please review the FAQ to learn about appropriate channel assignments.
rembarsays...On second thought, this can stay for now. I removed it originally not because of the actual treatment, which has a long way to go before it passes into FDA trials (please note that the only literature covers experiments targeting cancer cells in vitro without demonstration of cell specificity), but may or may not turn out to be legitimately useful. I'm just horrified by the absolute shit piece that CBS managed to put together. *science
I beg anyone watching this piece to consider the following:
