'Thank God I Was Raped'

God moves in mysterious ways huh?
Thank God people like this were given access to Youtube, otherwise I'd never have had the opportunity to dislike them.

I'm not sure what you're upvoting here. Just seems like a good way to pick these people apart.

From YT..

'John Castagnini and Amanda Kroetsch have made it their mission to compile some of the most challenging issues we face in experiencing gratitude into a book series that will heal and open hearts around the globe by sharing one simple message...'

let's avoid disliking these people, they're just dealing with what's happened to them in a way that they've found works. they're not hurting anyone. they have been fooled though.
i wonder if there are any radical atheists that thank natural selection for giving them a deadly disease... maybe these people would if others didnt invent gods for them.

Weird video. I really do not understand why any one would thank any one, real or not, for a raping!

Thank natural selection I'm going to die some day....I don't want to live to see how much further this cult called Christianity can go.

Damn...hasn't this mode of thought been explored enough already? Sure...go ahead, feel good that you were exploited, enslaved, beaten, etc, instead of actually being pissed about it enough to find a way to stop that from happening again.

Oh yeah, and while you're at it, go trade freedoms for liberty. You'll be a lot more secure than you were before.

Not claiming this is a perfect analogy, but it is interesting to note that <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/05/health/05essa.html?ei=5070&en=81903232a09b6dbc&ex=1175745600&adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1175594769-bV7FupVW8ZB6ReWGvnLbR
w" title="NYT article about parents purposefully genetically selecting to have disabled children">humans seem to embrace difficulty.

I also don't see the point in actively belittling the Christian perspective in those areas boring or benign -- there's plenty of active hatred to draw attention to. A quick video out of context makes it very easy to feel superior. I fight this tendency in myself, & think that a conversation with these people is necessary if we want to see our world anytime soon.

"Thank Allah I was chosen to strap these bombs to myself and kill the infidels. I now have a purpose, and don't take anything in my life for granted."

... that would be a pretty good one, huh? at least up there with the "thank God i have AIDS".
