Protesters dont have shit for rights here...dont compare Australia to the US.
Also, if I were a cop could I do it? Hell yes I could, quite easily. Dirty hippies should go get a job.
Corporations have nowhere near as much of a hold on our political system as they do in the US, they are there in protest of what exactly? The US problems dont exist here...our unemployment figures are at 5% total, FAR less for those who are educated and not hooked on drugs.

The 'protesters' are only there cause they like to rail against the man....

the situation in Australia is not really comparable to that of us , and in this case most the people in Australia were against the protests in the street , where as in UK and us I think at a minimum 35% of the population support the protesters.

having said that even though there is more employment in Australia there will be similar issues of wealth gap and rich people controlling important government policy.

The protesters are pro by going lip and forcing cops to carry you away as a dead wait it always looks bad from the mideas perspective and it takes ages for cops to clear people as it takes 2-3 cops to move one protester.

I'd like to know how you know that most of the Australian population were against the protests. We have much less unemployment than in the US, but we have many of the same issues going on here that you do, and of course there is considerable support here for the OWS movement. Melbourne is also home to a lot of the freedom of expression movements here in Australia, with some of the largest marches in the country happening there - 150,000 people turned out for the Iraq war demonstrations for example.
