clint smith makes an impassioned speech clearly defining the differences of being raised black in stark contrast to what those of privilege may experience.
when people scoff at the idea of white privilege as somehow being non-existent,they never even consider that a child of a black family may be taught to be hyper aware of the fears,anxieties and prejudices of the very ruling class that denies that their privilege even exists.
watch this and maybe..just possibly..understand that the situations in ferguson all the way to baltimore did not just fall out of the fucking sky.they did not explode over one incident,but rather have been a brewing cauldron of oppression,targeted harassment and exploited criminalization.
