G-barsays...What in god's name is this?!
silvercordsays...Not that rare. If you keep your eyes up a couple of days before a large front moves in you should be able to catch one. That being said, the one in this video is incredible.

atarasays...They aren't rare at all in cold climates like we have here in Winnipeg. We'll see them frequently during the winter. This one's extraordinarily well formed, though.
gwiz665says...I see moon dogs (paraselene) relatively often in the wintertime in Denmark. Never seen a sun dog (parhelion) before though.
Memoraresays...Sun Dog was also the name of a very cool old Apple II game published about a million years ago.
