Steele struggles to name his own health care plan provider

Saw it over on HuffPo

Here, the chair of the RNC struggles to name the company the RNC uses for health insurance. The pretty CNN ladies ask the Republican leader (in name only?) who covers him after he spreads about 90 seconds worth of fear.

Anyone know if he actually has blue cross/blue shield? I'd like to know if he actually guessed right.

As I reflect on this little gem, I'm reminded of one of the more important passages(IMO) of "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu.

"If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."

He doesn't want the media to paint a bleak picture but 47 million out of 310 million means that roughly 15% of the people in this country have no insurance whatsoever.

Even people who have insurance at this point in time have to worry about costs. But for 15% of us you're pretty much in financial ruin if something even moderate happens to you medically.

15% still sounds small but 47,000,000 is a huge number of people.

Man, you could see him sweating when he was asked those questions. Not sure why one would need to be so secretive about such a thing.

And yes, 47 million is a fuckload of people/

You should have seen him on CNN the other night. The fucker could barely read what was written for him. Totally bizarro. Even Bush could stumble through things in a way to make you almost feel sorry for him.

What about the people who don't have good health care? Do we need to raise taxes on people who make over $250k a year to pay for the people who don't have good health care? Why should those that make more money be expected to pay more taxes? I still don't have a good answer for that.

Regardless of who the people are do not qualify, 47 Million (just over 15%) is an enormous number to deny coverage to.

Mr. Steele's suggestion that 85% of people are pleased with the U.S. health system suggests that everyone who has healthcare in the U.S. is satisfied with it. I somehow doubt the accuracy of this statement.
