Smashing Pumpkins - Ava Adore

"Ava Adore" is a song by The Smashing Pumpkins. It was the first single on their fourth album, Adore, and exhibited a new sound from the band which integrated traditional instruments with loops and electronica. Both "Ava Adore" and the b-sides were written by Billy Corgan.

The music video was lensed by British directors Dom & Nic and is a one-take shot of the band, in Gothic-inspired clothing, walking through a variety of scenes. The video was by far the band's most expensive production, with a budget of over one million dollars.

When Jimmy Chamberlin rejoined the band, the song was reworked into a heavier version, sounding like something from Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
