Me too. I'm not sure why, I think it's something about saying "We're on to you" to Hollywood. we now recognise the simple visual tricks and trite music that is used to pump up the scariness, or make us happy. Movies are kind of like mood inducing drugs. My fav is the Jaws one:

The Shining is my favorite. It was such a wacky, heart-warming film to begin with, anyway.

Yes...that's true, dag. Maybe it's because it gives us a glimpse of how editing can manipulate us. hee hee hee...that's the field I'm studying for, so one day (hopefully) I'll be a part of the manipulation, too.

Yeah Ant - I guess I did. There were a slew of the Meg Ryan vehicles in the 90s. It's all a blur.

This is my favorite one. Yet the shining one is really good too..

The Shining cut was nice, but this one just feels far more professional and that wins it for me.
