What I'd really like is a new, good MOO clone/sequel. I still play MOO2 almost every day and it's 14 years old now.

If they did the same thing with this video as with the live stream last week, the UI seen here is actually fullscreen-sized even though the game is running windowed. This is to make the UI clearly visible on low resolution videos.

Yes, FreeOrion. I've been following it since it was nothing but a discussion in a forum thread. Unfortunately it's progressing extremely slowly (5 years in development so far and probably another 3-5 to go) and I'm not even positive I'll like it when it's done.

They gave away the PDF manual on the website (clever marketing) - and of course what strikes me? The GIANT DEATH ROBOT. Oh my, they're so brilliant...
