Well, I've not looked at their data, but I'm just going to suggest that these "life forms" are most likely from earth. Life has been found just about everywhere on earth, so why not the stratosphere?

Wow that's some misleading reporting, the researchers didn't claim that they found tiny organisms, but rather what looks like inorganic pieces of a mineral shell like the kind that forms around algae.
