Santorum, why on Earth would Israel's interests have anything to do with US policy decisions?

Israel is not a US state or territory... it has it's own government and is free to avoid war (or not) with it's neighbors, and that has nothing to do with the US government's job of taking care of Americans' basic freedoms.

If Israel, Japan, Taiwan, and [insert 180 other countries] want military protection, they can buy it themselves, instead of bankrupting the US to do it.
