gwiz665says..."Being taken over"? The new glen beck movement has just taken the same name, it's two different movements, isn't it?
blankfistsays...I'm glad they bailed out Wall Street, because otherwise WaMu wouldn't have gone under and Chase would've never acquired them and they'd never change my checking account to charge me $10/month service fees. Oh wait.
Stormsingersays...I want to see the "many of them asking -profound- questions about the Constitution." Why don't these folks ever show up in any of the videos (even those by Faux News)?
entr0pysays..."Hello and welcome to Freedom Watch, your DAILY DOSE of HOT RAW LIBERTY, STREAMING. . . " Sorry that's as far as I could get. I feel dirty.
GeeSussFreeKsays...Bashes tea party? Another case of flamboyant titles? Anywho, isn't most of this kind of expected really? As more people become attracted to something the more the main stream of ideas creep in...it is why intellectual movements are hard to keep going. While slightly disappointing to be shunned by a group that you used to get a fair amount of support from, the fact is the "tea party" is hardly solidified in any sort of political idealism. In that, I think you will see both parties try to swoop in and associate themselves with it, then try to become defacto representatives of it and thusly galvanize it into a unified vision.

Definitely; could you tone down the title? I'd hate to have someone who doesn't view the video and just reads the headline think that.

I don't forsee Democrats trying to associate themselves with the tea party. If anything they'll try to discredit it.
GeeSussFreeKsays...^By in large, I think your right. But in some smaller, or centrist areas you might see it. But your right, it seems places like MSNBC have made a point of showing the dumb people.
Stormsingersays...Why would they need to bother? The Tea Party supporters are doing a fine job of discrediting it by themselves.
Seriously, if they don't figure out a way to keep the morons from being the public face of the Tea Party, they're never going to be more than a laughing stock. Sadly for them, it's damned hard to keep the majority of your "party" hidden.

GeeSussFreeKsays...I have been to a few demonstrations, the people they show on the news are usually the dumbest person they can find on the news channel that opposites the coverage. If you see it on the news, don't believe it. To call such a group of people morons when many tea parties still are composed of disenfranchised democrats, centrists, and conservatives is rather brash and overly antagonistic. I know there tends to be sensationalist over such things, but lets keep it real shall we?
dystopianfuturetodaysays...The first I'd heard of the Tea Party movement was with Dick Armey's FreedomWorks™ event in Washington last year. I didn't realize that it was originally a libertarian thing. Too bad that all that exposure came at the cost of its guiding principals.
