You are my hero for this.

I'm in my 3rd year of ASL and it is painfully obvious that the reason Deaf culture is still not widely accepted is because of the lack of media. It is wonderful to see some out there.

I'd venture to say that Deaf culture isn't widely accepted, and consequently media for the Deaf isn't available, largely because a) the Deaf population makes up about %0.1 of the world's population, b) the already-minority Deaf population is further subdivided by the mutually unintelligible sign languages in existence, and c) it's extremely difficult for non-native signers to pick up a sign language. After many years of signing, I still suck at it pretty badly, as is the case with most non-natives.
