My sentiments exactly. Robin Williams once again fails at being funny. He's like that ADHD kid that just came out of drama class all hopped up on caffeine.

I'm sorry, but that was too embarrassing to finish.
I used to love Robin Williams. Now... just stick to Drama my friend, or possibly scripted comedy. The ethnic jokes may be a bit out of date.

So I guess it is his delivery and persona as a funyman that comes off original.
I've never noticed that he copies other jokes, but I don't care because he is funny. He makes us laugh. I don't think he ever claimed to be a Joke "Writer" as much as it is his ability to "Clown the Crowd".

As the comedian, he is original in his personality, with his ability to jump from one persona to another quickly and effortlessly. ADHD best describes his comedy. It is a great outlet for him and it's working. He moves around and talks so fast, you sometimes even miss what he is saying - A total bundle of energy, he fuels us by passing on the energy. It is all in his delivery.

But hey, that's just my opinion and I don't care who's jokes he tells.

Slow, crappy start by Robin Williams, but it quickly got much better.

Robin Williams is hilarious. I don't care what anyone says.

I don't know if you've ever been to Scotland, but if you have and your not from there, you have to look up the video here of his routine about trying to understand what Scottish people are saying.

I can't remember the name of it, but try searching with something like "Robin Williams scottish drunk". I'm too tired to look it up myself.

It's fucking awesome. If you've ever been there, trust me: you'll laugh.

There were some pretty good jokes there. Sometimes his delivery runs ahead of the material which is where he can lose people but he remains a marvelous entertainer.

Okay.. after reading the comments here, I gave the video another shot.. and as long as you skip to 2:15 or so, the really dated racial jokes are gone and the good jokes start. So I'll admit I'm wrong when I'm wrong.

This was on the funny side of the scale.

I really didn't mind the slow start. You gotta remember that this guy's been telling jokes and running around hyperactive for what a quarter of a fucking century? Part of the joke WAS that he didn't know the modern terms of racial parody, for me, and a man of his intelligence must know that.

My respect for him shot up a mile when i saw a video on here a while ago where the electricity went in some studio during a political interview and robin williams ears perked up, and like an entertainment superhero he came charging into the studio to entertain people whilst the problem was sorted out.
