I really do not get these interviews (yeah, they're pretty funny), but they almost NEVER have ANYTHING to do with the movie in question. Occasionally, the book interviews will be on topic, but the movie interviews never are.

Is the movie/tv show that bad that you have to talk about something completely different to be entertaining?!

No, you don't NEED to do more than just passingly mention the show/movie. All you need to do is get people interested /reinterested (yeah, that's a word) in the person involved and they'll be more likely to check the show out.

"Oh man, that was a funny interview.... what was that show he's in soon? Life's too short? I'll give that a watch"
