Not many fictional and non-fictional villains have ever destroyed the lives of so many whilst supposedly having such a personal relationship with each and every one of them. Seems being in bed with the Devil would be less of a risk than with God.

The fact that the god of the old testament and the new testament seems to directly reflect cultural shift says more about god being described in man's image, than the other way around.
