Paybacksays...That one pillar hanging in the air should be a mid-sized one attached at the "middle" corner on the floor, and a couple of the others should be cut off at their bottoms on an angle, and hung from the top pieces, but you get the idea...
blankfistsays...Yeah, but I don't buy the pump idea.

Totally with you. The water is very obviously not being pumped from the back of the model back to above the wheel. You can clearly see the continuity of the water as it flows across the last bridge and around the last corner where it spills.
What's also obvious is, as I previously described, you can see the water pool up for a couple of seconds then get "blown" or sprayed (like putting your thumb over the end of a garden hose) across the last bridge. That's the only real mechanical trick to the model, and the last bridge appearing to be flat and straight is the primary optical illusion.
Paybacksays...Honestly? After looking at it a few times, and pausing a couple times while his arm was in front of the structure, I tend towards, if not full CGI, then possibly a cut-and paste kinda thing.
Mostly, I am just wanting to explain why it's possible to create in real life.
Sagemindsays...Ya, It still has to end where it started for the water to fall straight down (AKA Gravity) onto the starting point. This model doesn't do that.
Yes, Lucky, I see what you are talking about with the pooling of the water and then it is propelled up the last ramp as if an air jet is turned on to push it uphill.
