smibbosays...one correction: the mobius strip certainly CAN exist in reality. take a thin strip of paper, loop it, twist one end 180degrees before completing the loop. there ya go
pho3n1xsays...one more correction... near the end, the pink dots don't slowly disappear... instead, you see a green dot chasing in the blank spot...
jimnmssays...^ ^ ^ You have to stare at it longer than it is shown in this video.

Let your gaze rest on the central fixation cross, but observe with your “inner eye” the patches just when they disappear. With good fixation, you should see a strong greenish colour whenever the violet patch has disappeared.
When you are fixating well, after a few cycles you will actually see a rotating green spot! If your gaze is really steady, the magenta patches will disappear, leaving only a rotating green spot; when you then make any eye movements the circle reappears.
messengersays...Downvote for showing a loop with two twists and incorrectly calling it a mobius strip and saying neither could exist, for moving way to fast to be enjoyable. The other vid that made #1 a month or so ago is fantastic, and doesn't make me see the Union Jack behind the spinning green dots. Search for optical illusion, and look for the one with the yellow thumbnail and 100+ votes.
