probably not. NASA is notorious for hyping shit up for it to only matter to the uber-nerds.

It's frustrating because in reality, this is probably a significant step forward, whatever it is. But for the rest of us, it's blue balls.

I didn't know how the materials processing and analysis technology worked on Curiosity. That's pretty cool.
