I can't see a lot of escaping criminals surviving that abrupt a stop.

I thought this was going to be a video about a speeding counter-measure, not a "wreck your car if you hit this" measure

I'll upvote this for now, but I still think a high-tensile monofilament wire about 2-3 feet higher would be a more effective deterent.
