NOVA's "Pancake Theory" Simulation Debunked - 9/11

wallacesays...

Loony. I suppose this is a piece of something bigger. But, like the supposedly evil PBS, these people simply state things and expect us to believe them. Why should I trust what's being said here, but not a very respected program on a very respected network?

Oh, right, . . . "common sense."

Yes, it's much more plausible that the Bush adminstration placed explosives in each of the towers and detonated them in a massive conspiracy...because, y'know, they've already proven themselves to be incredibly competent in other areas like foreign policy, managing the budget, etc...

rensays...

competancy is dependant on perspective theo, if your goal is to create turmoil, implant american companies into the middle east, control sovereign oil supplies, eliminate free speech in the media, get your buddies rich... man they are on a roll!

Cool! I've never heard something narrated by S.A.M. the Software Automatic Mouth for the Commodore 64 computer. Clearly this is hardcore science, they've got numbers, in both units of floors AND seconds.

This is absolutely silly. That episode of NOVA aired in April of 2002.

...here's an interesting simulation, done at Purdue University; shows the impressive properites of liquids at high velocities: http://www.cs.purdue.edu/homes/cmh/simulation/phase3/ (some stills, some animated models)

As soon as someone can provide a theory that doesn't involve the silent cooperation of hundreds of government employees and the impossibly precise planning and execution of dozens of demolitions experts, I'll start paying attention again. I grant you, there is a ridiculously small chance that this event was allowed to happen (Pearl Harbor), but at least that theory has a snowballs chance in hell.

Um...I don't think this is Nova. Notice the difference in the speaking voices? Also, 90% of the what the announcer is saying seems to be written by an amateur and not a writer.

Notice the voice change around 20 seconds in to the actual Nova voice-over...then goes back to the "fake" voice around 30 seconds into the video.

So, I may be a little slow...but is this video re-done by a bunch of 911 conspiracy theorists trying to disprove Nova, or is it being pushed that Nova produced this whole segment with the changing voices?

Sorry i didnt put a more descriptive title.

"Clip from "9/11 Eyewitness"
If anyone has had the misfortune of sitting through NOVA's attempt and validating the official government myth about 9/11, here's a piece that debunks the "pancake theory" computer simulation NOVA's graphic artists came up with to make the Bush administration's 9/11 story seem plausible"

Oh, ok...so this IS conspiracy theory garbage again...

Not surprised anymore, this crap will go on and on forever. What these idiots can't get through their head is that if it WAS Bush run to get us to invade Iraq, then why were almost all the hijackers Saudi and it was blamed on Osama? You mean they could have this huge conspiracy with a BUNCH of people in on the secret and pull this all off, then screw up the actual connections to the plot, and not laying it at the feet of Saddam.

And, you're giving these monkeys in the White House too much credit for pulling something like this off. Give me a break. Just look at how everything is going now. And to what end? To what end would the administration want to create 911? To invade Iraq? That's the only way? Give me a break...

For the love of God, stop with this idiocy!
