How can this be the dupe if I sifted mine first? They seem like different views anyway.

Different? Its a video of the other sifted video. Can I video this, upload it and then say its different to both the previous ones because its a video of a video of a video? (inb4 smartass says something about uploadin your own vids)

So, might I make a suggestion? Grab the duped videos embed, paste it in here and transfer the votes?

It's not a dupe, period. Doesn't matter if it's a video of the other one, UP posted it first. So if anything the other one should be duped and the votes transferred here. In fact, I'll start the process now.

Sorry for the initial crappy quality. I had been trying to find a video, scrambling around on the internet. People were calling me, telling me to look on the TV and stuff. I live in Indianapolis and had a few friends and cousins at the fair. Thanks for fixing it and @Hybrid<3

I'm sorry if I caused any confusion with my comment.
If fact, in looking for the different versions I have confused myself even more (happens more often than I'd like to admit) about the sequence of events.
In the above comment I should have said, "that one" not "this"--referring to the handheld cam shot of a TV screen. That's why it seems that I'm calling the one posted First a dupe--I screwed up.

This is a case of where it sucks hugely that comments don't get transferred to the non-dupe. The dupe video has all the pertinent discussion of the event, while this one has talking about this video being a dupe.

I get the issues, I get that the comments coming across can have mention of the existence of the two videos and talking about the one they get transferred to as if it's another video as they were originally on the other one.

But maybe they could be marked as coming from the other video? They just should be here.

@deathcow, this is a terrible horrific event, but it does not belong in the terrible channel which is the most incorrectly used channel imo. The description of the channel is:

You know when you open some old milk, and the first thing you do is offer it to someone else saying "wow, this is nasty, smell it"... Yeah, those kind of videos.

Videos of terrible, awful What-Were-They-Thinking commercial/pop-culture products/releases. Terrible music videos, movies, TV show clips, toys, etc. Things that some corporate exec decided to actually give a green light. The sorts of things that you watch, and think "SOMEBODY should have known better that to release that". The stuff that's so bad, you can't help but share.

Not the place for bad youtube lip-synch videos, or other sub-standard amateur releases.

My condolences

When you put up a stage like that is it not important to brace it properly? It just collapsed one way because there seemed nothing in place to make it a more resilient structure.

I would hope/assume that lawsuits are pending. If you're putting on an event like this, I would expect there is some requirement for public safety.
