I had to work a party where she was the featured DJ. It was a massive red-carped affair with literally hundreds of people waiting outside, hoping to get into the sold-out capacity show. Ms. Gray's DJing was so utterly abysmal, that by the time her set was over, nobody was waiting outside, and the place was only 3/4 full.

I cannot stand her voice. She ruined Spiderman for me.

She's got good songs, but I too dislike her voice.

Don't know about her ruining spiderman tho, it was already as it was.

I love this song

This has to be one of the most undeserving overplayed songs ever. There, in my opinion, are no redeeming qualities to this song or video.

I'm sorry, but I've always had a soft spot for this song.

i remember being a drunk 17 year old and making my boyfriend listen to this for like 3/4s of 1999.... wtf was i thinking? i must have been drunk... and also 17.. gah...

I also dislike the way she uses her voice. I like the song, though. It's got redeeming qualities in that it tells a story that's easy to relate to, it's got a memorable melody that most people can hum or sing for themselves, and it's got some dark undertones. If only someone else would sing it...

By the way, this style of singing (John Mayer is similar) is so annoying to me because it's so limiting as far as the palette of colors it offers to a singer. When every part of every song you sing is sung breathily, all of your songs sound the same. I can hear that her voice has so much potential for other timbres and colors and textures and intensities, but she's put this cap on it. Gah.
