I like it
and they are unlocking the other 2 campaigns soon as well - I bought it in November and have been playing lots since Well recommended

It lacks a chainsaw or a ZDoom-like rickroller.

Simply put: yes.

^I found it really repetitive. Played it over a weekend and got bored. Was fun at first though.

It's definitely fun, but with only 4 levels, it's a bit light on content. It's not cool to sell half a game for full price and then nickel and dime you for the other half.

Valve always releases extra content like that for free. See TF2 character updates. They only cost money on the xbox because Microsoft will not let them give it away.

Then they shouldn't have released the game with only 4 levels if people need to pay for more content. It doesn't matter if it's MS's fault. I just watched the video review on IGN. They say it is best played in Coop. The levels only take 30 minutes to beat but the game varies them on repeated plays.

This sounds ultra boring and short for single player gaming. I can see the fun for MP though.

The game does only have 4 hubs (with 4 lvls each) so it can be repetitive, BUT, what the above haven't said, is the game has great AI that makes it so each time you go through the lvls, they are different. The amount of goodies you find, the weapons, enemy places, etc, differs every time or near so.

But the multiplayer is where the REAL fun is at.

I agree. Light on content, but ultimately fun to play.

It's damn fun to play as the zombies.

It's insanely fun for the first maybe 2 or 3 times you play through the whole set of levels. After that and once you beat expert, it becomes too predictable and repetitive. That's the campaign anyway, versus mode mixes it up a lot more by allowing you to play zombies but I never really found it that interesting.

I don't do multilayer, so I'm skipping this one (just like CoD4, Gears, etc).

I'm sure its worth it if you have enough friends on XBL/Steam so that you can jump in and always have someone to play with.

Not sure what the issue is with the lack of levels.

Content does not equal fun. Infact, some of the most fun games I've played have very little content. Feel free to confirm this with anyone who was addicted to arcade games from Pac-Man to Street Fighter.
