The answer, obviously, it was a force. I don't know how he forced it, but I assume Penn and Teller do.

jonblysays...I'm inclined to think that the force happens simply from the way the card is chosen - the riffle takes so little time, and is sprung on the mark, that he's pretty much forced to say 'Stop' at what can perceived to be the right point. Awkward if he declines when asked to confirm, though...
