Keith Olbermann Special Comment On Gabrielle Giffords Shooti

VoodooVsays...

People need to see what tyranny actually is when they start bringing up the idea of using violence to fight a "tyrannical" government.

Higher taxes and government health care is not tyranny. You may not like it, but it's not tyranny.

This from the guy that spews hatred and nominates people for the "Worst Person in the World?"

I'd love to see him take responsibility for the shooting, but he's too stupid to see that he's as guilty of inciting violence as anybody was for this shooting. (Not that anyone actually was - the shooter wasn't incited by anyone.)

Olbermann should take his own fucking advice on "vitriolic rhetoric", but that would require a higher level of cognitive function than he's capable of. He's an amazing fucking hypocrite.

I like how Olbermann included Barak Obama in his condemnation for when he said to "bring a gun" to a political fight, and how he called those who oppose him "enemies". Oh - no wait - he didn't do that. Obama, Pelosi, Ried, Fiengold, Gibbs, and the thousands of other left-wing guys who routinely engage in hate speech got a free pass. He picked one example from his side. Real 'balance' there Olbie. Name the names on your side besides yourself. Matthews, Maddow, Garafalo, Barr, Bahar, Moore, and a hundred others. Feh - physician heal thyself.

I wonder if Sarah Palin will now retract her statement that Julian Assange should be assassinated. Hmm? He may not be a member of congress or a US citizen. But asassination is murder. Murder is a crime. Inciting to murder, even if one does not commit said murder, is also a crime.

It's only fun until someone losses a life.

In this case, a few people didn't loose their life, "a country lost a few people"
This was due to infighting which is contrary to what the US is supposed to stand for.
The nation continues to degrade to a point where, unless things change, civil was is imminent.
... And that will be the end of a free nation.

... get classy U.S.A.

I can only guess you missed the "i apologise for and repudiate any act or anything in my past that may have even inadvertantly encouraged violence".

....and i'm guessing that you missed it because you didn't watch it.

I watched the whole thing. I'm not directly talking about inciting people to violence, but using vitriolic words to create an "atmosphere of hate" that has him so up in arms. Olbermann is one of the angriest guys on television, so hearing these words come out of his mouth against vitriol was especially amusing to me.

The comment above me, for example, shows Sarah Palin brewing a hot cup of tea, which indicates they're unaware or uncaring the worst hatred and vitriol these days comes from people like Olbermann or Matthews, not weepy bastards like Glenn Beck.
