Karateka - Best Game Ending Ever?

At the successful conclusion of the game, the hero is reunited with Mariko as he frees her from her prison cell. He must then drop his fighting stance and run into her arms. The game concludes with a musical tribute and description of the player's success. If the hero approaches Mariko in fighting stance, she kicks him in the head, killing him in one blow. Are you serious?? Oh man, I'm glad I never finished the game as I would have destroyed my C64 soon afterwards. (I always would get past the first few guys, then run straight into the bird...)

It was my favorite game on my Apple ][+, but in green monochrome

I remember doing this the first time and freaking. Luckily the game wasn't that long.
