Unfortunately, banning guns would be just as useless in preventing gun violence as giving everyone a gun. There will always be people who want to hurt others, and they will always find a way to do so. You simply can't avoid it.

The real shame is that politicians and celebrities will ride the wave of emotion, not to push any particular agenda, but to gain notoriety by pushing that agenda. I guess the real, real shame is that we, the people, fall for it every time.

Well it didn't get 168 votes in 20 hours. It had about 122 votes and then it died as comedy central used to routinely expire the clips off their site. They seem to have changed their policy so this one came back to life but was still discarded. Then it was saved so it came back with it's 122 votes with a new time stamp and like magic it shoots into the top spot in the top 15 for another 4 days

A singular tragedy like this should not entail giving everyone guns. Just like a singular tradegy should not entail the entire nation losing the very things it claims to be fighting for.
