Joker vs the Batwing

Heath Ledger was a great joker in the dark knight... But if compared to Jack Nicholson, there is a bit of a debate on it...

I want to stay a neutral as I can, but if you have to give credit to Nicholson's Joker...

After all, did you see Ledger stand in the middle of the road, get shot at by rockets and machine guns, pull a three (or two) foot gun from his pants and shoot down the batwing in one shot? I THINK NOT!

They're very different performances for very different movies. But if I had to pick one I'd go with Ledger, just because he gives a performance completely unlike anything we've seen him do, whereas Nicholson essentially just plays an amped-up version of his usual persona.
