Lennon commented that the song was "an anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalistic song, but because it's sugar-coated, it's accepted." Lennon also described it as "virtually the Communist Manifesto".

As abrasive as she is, I absolutely love the exchange at the end of the video. They were so clearly in love and whether you like or dislike Yoko, their feelings for each other supersede our opinions of her as a person.
