For people who don't know, New Jersey is one out of two states in the USA that do not allow you to pump your own gas. Oregon is the other one.

I stopped for gas in NJ once and forgot about their pumping situation... pulled up, got out of the car and started pumping my own gas. The attendant came running out of the garage waving his hands and yelling, "Stop! What are you doing?"

I realized my mistake pretty quickly, apologized and got back in the car, but man did he take that way too seriously.

Ignorane truly is bliss.
