I saw two cracks on the end of the table when he finished. Maybe related?

The earthquake pushed him through.

the cracks are chrome trim, and that center section sounds awfully hollow when he knocks on it at the end there...

also, there seems to be another piece of chrome trim following his position "in" the table when viewed from the side.

but.... i don't want to know how he did it, cause it looks pretty awesome.
