Actually, I thought he argues his case reasonably well here, considering all the dumb things he has been known to say previously. Of course, his jump from Iraq war=more terrorists to "but there was 9/11" makes no sense, for obvious reasons.(If there are more T's now B/c of the war, then 9/11, which had nothing to do with Saddam, is not a good justification for the war, infact its the complete opposite..) At any rate, its good to see atleast one interview that seems to be free, and an interviewer that atleast tries to ask some critical questions

Ummm...yeah.

I guess you could say he argues his case reasonably well if by that you mean that no evidence, no facts and a complete disregard for reality meets the criteria.

Bush - what an ass. (sorry for the ad hominum addendum...)

One of the more annoying parts of this interview is Bush's lack of tact in knowing his audience as well as who he is speaking to.

In Europe, especially Great Britain, interviewers favor a more conversational and back-and-forth dialogue style. Bush only knows the Question-and-Answer format from pre-screened reporters as seen in press conferences.

If I recall correctly, he came off as incredibly arrogant and rude to the Irish and English public. But then again, he comes off as that to everyone now.

I'm behind the Iraq war because it's resulted in bringing Saddam Hussein to trial, and the ultimate goal is to spread freedom abroad. Period. I think we can all agree that those two things are great for the world.

Everybody hates Bush but they have no clue how much good he's done in the world.

How many Southeast Asians died after the Vietnam war?
How many people died under communist rule after WWII?

This time we can't let that happen. We need to follow through in the Middle East.

I don't really intend on starting a huge political debate that's all been said a million times before, in the end I'm sure we'll walk away from this and both not be anymore convinced of one another's points. But it does seem to me that if you say "Everybody hates Bush but has no clue how much good he's done...", it just seems to me that you haven't really listened to the people that oppose his reasoning.

I get it, Saddam was a bad man. I understand. But first of all, it's debatable whether or not what Bush's Administration did will actually "spread freedom abroad". I can assure you, it won't be such a pretty picture in the end. And yes, you can say "well you don't know that yet". Yes, however, the people who have opposed him from the beginning have been right about -everything- else thus far. Not to mention this war has been going on for about 6 years now and things in the Middle East aren't too spectacular. Everything the Administration has promised us, every reason they gave for their actions (aside from "Saddam is a bad man") turned out to be completely false (IE- he had WMDs). Not to mention, like said before (about a million times), there was absolutely no link to 9/11, which again was his initial reasoning behind the war. It's been lie after lie with this man, and now with the "Scooter" Libby fiasco going on, his ratings are just plummeting (not that they were fine before Libby). Everyone (not just half of us) is finally seeing just how backwards and corrupt the administration is, and it's showing in his ratings.

Iraqi civilians are in more danger since the occupation than they were under the Hussein regime. They are dying in greater numbers, and have a lower standard of living.

Yes, they are not living under a totalitarion dictator's thumb. What difference does it make if you are three times as likely to be killed going out to buy bread?

Our current administration is a finely tuned fear-machine. It's agenda is the perpetuation of a never-ending war, guaranteeing that friends ands family in the oil, weapons, and "reconstruction" industries are spoon-fed an abundance of no-bid contracts, securing thier fortunes for generations to come.

We, the American people, are paying for thier spoils with our taxes, and more tragically, with the blood and lives of our young people.

In one point deedub88 is right: the war in iraq make the end of saddam hussein dictatorship. In fact, perhaps if the american have left away right after the dead of saddam, thing might has going for good. But America is not here for liberation, they here to collect petrol. And is for that reason they still fight for a long win false cause (ironically making the exact opposite effect than the one they pretend wanting). And don't forget they already has once a occasion to instauring democracy in iraq:gulf war I. But in this time, they needed a villain to keep middle east under there control.

Is not america's war.
Is not even Bush's war.
Is Dick Cheney and his petrol industry ex-colleague's war.

"downvote for being boring and annoying"

Thanks, but this isn't a comedy clip, it is a politics clip. While you're here, go read the FAQ on how the sift works so you learn how to earn the privilege to down vote!

Ive noticed something interesting when Bush talks.
Seems like people have literally become so sick of him so that everyone is extremely ignorant to things he says, even if they are (sometimes) right.
