Intro to Batman: The Animated Series (1992)

Batman: The Animated Series aired from 1992 to 1995, giving little kids a reason to get up early on weekend mornings and an awesome hero to pretend to be on the playground. I miss cartoons like this, where good guys are dark and brooding figures and bad guys are seriously evil dudes, in a day and age where cartoon protagonists have gigantic heads and bulbous eyes and have giant sweat drops fall from their head whenever they get exasperated and the villains have catchphrases like "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off againnnnnnnn...."

One of the best cartoons of the 1990s, especially with Mark Hamill as the Joker.

man i looked forward to this show every sat. like crazy
i could be wrong but i do believe this series created the base model for the quintessential "animated" version of batman most folks recognize these days even in cameo's and in the Justice League toons from a few years after this one ran out.

This was awesome. Although... why did the police have blimps? Nobody uses blimps.
