Impeachment Managers Make Case Against Trump to Open Trial

Seth takes a closer look at former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial, where House impeachment managers laid out powerful evidence of his guilt while most Republican senators had no interest in holding him accountable.

Wish we could say that was just a divine presentiment, but it was like every uncommon thing committed so commonly by the former President during his tenure of office. Foreseeable. Predictable. Inevitable.

People got hurt. A person got shot. People got killed.

Someone said it was going to happen. The President urged for it to happen. It happens.

What...can be...more obvious?

[this isn't the only source available on the 'net that made this kind of 'prediction'. found one that talked about his impeachment, removal, and inspired violence well before any of this was on the horizon.]

the only real question is will the Republicans do their sworn duty? be honorable. just be honest.

believe some will. the ones with principles, honor, and courage.

may the rest find other work. soon.

You got it backward... Republicans with principles, honor and courage will soon be out of work, the rest (i.e. the certified majority ) of the power hungry GOPers is sitting VERY comfortably, happy to keep on plotting and gaslighting and disillusioning people left & right.

the last part was more prayer rather than prediction.

the vast majority of Americans know the president-reject is guilty but know the fix is in.

cheney, romney et al won't get the boot. don and mobsters took a hit with w/the failed coup. there is a movement away from that chaos. folks are fed up w/the madness.

sure the dregs will still remain. hell, disco never went away it only changed its name. but it no longer is the menace it once was. but do believe people will sour on koo-koos like green or weasels like cruz and hawley. it's cotton that is worrisome.

“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

have heart.

The problem is, the percentage of Americans you can fool all of the time is around 40%...and they're angry, violent, lacking in any self control, lacking in patriotism, well armed, lacking in curiosity and intelligence, lacking in civility, and completely lacking in any capability to admit they are ever wrong or that they were fooled.

Never underestimate the stupidity of American blowhards.

"Never underestimate the stupidity of American blowhards."

Y'all approproated that from H. L. Mencken.* Thought of that too. But sometimes, folks can surprise a body.

EX: mininum wage ballot ininitive, a few election cycles ago, came up in 5 RED red states and they passed easily. even when the state govenments wouldn't do so at gun point. sometimes folks know what's what and go w/it.

just saying things can go so bad for so long, good things can slip in w/o anyone noticing. progress in america has never came in waves but in sporatic pulses.

heck. the GOP was a progressive movement at conception. some of that progressness flowed into the turn-of-century. got nat'l parks from teddy. (think of that? a Republican supporting land - for everybody - just to look at and not exploited? it's true!)

hope for hope's sake, s'all.

'Lightn' Hopkins said (or close to), "If'n your first though is 'I can't'; then don't even try". I say we should try. It can be done.

*he also said, "On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." spot-on.

I usually say "the American voter" but since so many of these delusional traitors didn't vote, I modified it to fit the scenario. I never knew where it came from, but I knew it was a quote or paraphrase from someone.

I could hope with all my hope and it would be a thimble in an ocean of pessimism and dispare over the stupidity of any large group of humans. A person can be smart, I've yet to see evidence that people can.

There is no "try".

Well, we got the moron in the Whitehouse for 4 years, when do we reach our heart's desire? How is that even possible when the desires of the plain folk often contradict each other....they / we aren't homogeneous.
