Magicians revealing their tricks is the new black. The theory is that if the tricks are never revealed, there's no impetus for magicians to be innovative, and, in the age of VideoSift, the industry will die.

A good magician might reveal a trick, but then do a variation on it that baffles you again.

Moreover, I've always seen the trick performed where people are looking at the window and there is no possible way someone is even on the other side of it. Example 1) David Copperfield was on a moving train and made the card appear on the outside of a dining car window. Example 2) a Japanese magician (still on VideoSift somewhere) is in a boat with glass windows below deck and makes the card appear on the ocean side of the glass.

Real bummer this "revelation" as it really revealed nothing.
