Hit piece by Neil Cavuto against Ron Paul. Dr Paul Dominates

Hit piece by Neil Cavuto of Fox News against Ron Paul. Ron Paul completely dominates the conversation and owns Cavuto.[youtube desc]

Fox probably planted that white supremacist donor just for the sake of trying to spur up 'News' to make Ron Paul look bad. Seems consistent with their behavior. I give it to Ron Paul to have the guts to go on Fox knowing darn well they are going to try to peg him with a cheap shot.

hit piece? he seemed to pe a Paul supporter, giving him an easy question like that, giving him the opportunity to say all that without interruption.

don't get underdog syndrome, claiming everything is an attack. This was a gentle tickling.

I've never been able to support a Republican for President, but this Ron Paul guy is making me think twice. Anybody who's got the balls to stand up to the military industrial complex is ok in my book.

I also doubt it was a hit peice. If it was, it was sufficiently weak and actually soft balls.. so to speak.. that RP could hit right out of the park. It could be that he's just playing the devil's advocate, like most interviewers do, especially on fox.

If this had been o'reilly or hannity, he would have had waaay shorter time to answer, and would have been interrupted. This interviewer may have disagreed with RP, but he gave him sufficient time to answer, and that seems fair enough.

Given Paul's view on limited government intervention into markets, and low taxes I see no reason why large multinational corporations which presumably influence the agenda of Fox News would want to see him discredited. Perhaps only if they have already invested in another candidate or number of candidates. Or perhaps because promoting another long-shot would further destabilise an uncertain Republican primaries nominee.

As for the video, Paul seems to be either exhausted by all the media attention and space he's been getting or is losing his past tenacity. His answer seemed to lack the eloquence of his previous retorts and overall he tried to cover a broad-spectrum of issues but lost clarity.

Bullshit. How the fuck can you justify a segue into campaign donations when the original piece is about "Warm and Fuzzy" ads?

Faux News tried yet again to bait Ron Paul and bit off more than they could chew. Unbelievable.

You know what would go great with Guiliani for President? A well grounded metal basin filled with salt water and a 12,000 volt anal electrode. That guy is potentially the least charismatic person on Earth.

Grimmsays...

Maybe it's my paranoia but it looked to me at first that Cavuto was trying to get RP to attack the other candidates for their "warm and fuzzy" ads. He caught them off guard in an earlier interview were he warned against religion being used in politics to promote fascism. In that first interview he was careful how he worded his comments as just a general warning and not to say that's exactly what one of the candidates is or isn't doing.

So here we have Cavuto..."you don't think these kind of ads work do you?" "you wouldn't do an ad like this would you?" "aren't these ads a waste of time?" Cavuto also has to know that RP also has a "warm and fuzzy" xmas ad like the rest of the candidates so I think he was trying to get him to talk bad about the other candidates and make him look like hypocrite...of course RP didn't bite.

RP doesn't take the bait so he switches to the "white supremest donation" story which is old news. "aren't you going to give the money back?" and when RP explains why he shouldn't bother then it's "well what do you have to say about those candidates that would give the money back?" again fishing for personal attacks.
