grintersays...maybe she is just upset that the guitar sounds so horrible?
either way, she keeps going back for more.
articiansays...It's my belief that some species naturally have Synesthesia. While we're just hearing the guitar, that cat could be seeing all sorts of colors or motion. I only recently had this hypothesis because we adopted an old cat a few years ago that reacts really similarly to certain noises. It's always as though they're experiencing the sound physically or visually.
I wish I could forward this comment to a scientist who cared.
mxxconsays...this is pretty common reaction http://videosift.com/video/Kitty-Meet-Metronome
but not all cats are affected and not all the time http://videosift.com/video/Cat-vs-Metronome
xxovercastxxsays...Poor cat is going to be dead before he's 5.

moonsammysays...Reminds me of this one I posted a while back. That cat appeared to blame a rug for the noise, and also exited stage right.
critical_dsays...maybe the vid is just out of sync but the cat appears to flinch/jump a split second before we hear the guitar. weird.

Wasn't there some research a few years ago about how our reactions seem to occur just BEFORE the causual event? I'm betting it's the same for animals.
