Funny how you immediately assume that it is only the atheists who find this video dated and funny. Where's the whining btw?

The last thing I'm laughing at here is that kid - if I saw him today I'd genuinely slap him on the back for the youthful gusto and enthusiasm he shows in this clip. What's funny to me are the production values, the ill-preparedness, and the shoe-horned juxtaposition of (poorly realised) funky pop with a religious message.

But you're right about one thing - there *is* something sad about it; the manner in which the original producers of this video used this kid to try and indoctrinate other children of his generation into believing the biggest lie ever sold.

I'll admit I have seen DC Talk, the band who does the original version of this song, in concert a time or two. They are probably the Christian band I've seen the most after Carman (who I've seen more times than I care to admit). My first concert ever was Petra at Red Rocks... yeah, my first and last Red Rocks concert wasted on Petra, but I enjoyed it at the time so...
I don't know as if it is Public Access or not. I've seen lots of TBN in my days, and the locally produced TBN shows were on par with this... Heck some of the National aired TBN content was on par with this.

^Back in the 90's, I used to marvel at the laughably bad programming on TBN (The Trinity Broadcasting Network) but Carman was by far the worst/best. It looks like there is only one Carman video on the sift: http://videosift.com/video/Think-twice-before-you-rumble-with-a-man-of-god There is plenty more terrible out there for those looking for something to sift.

He sucks.
