Freddie was awesome, but I don't get the "in color" part.
He died 1991, when color film was readily available.
Color film of when he was born in Zanzibar in 1946 may have been rare, but what am I missing?

The music video 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' is shot in B&W.. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWMqyzvfU_Q) and that's his last video. So, in here he's seen in color during the interviews and outtakes etc.

I think also 'I'm going slightly mad' (http://videosift.com/video/Queen-Im-Going-Slightly-Mad) is in B&W. Probably because he was getting thin and sick looking

Watching this is a bit hard for me. My older brother died of aids related cancer 8 months before Freddie and watching this is in many ways like watching my brother in his last few months. I miss them both.

Awww Freddie. What an artist!!!

Slightly off topic, Sacha Baron Cohen is doing a Freddie Mercury biopic... Strangely, I can see it working.
