FunkyKindsays...damn you theo, I just hit submit on this.... My title was "Fox news doesn't like black people," which was a delightful throw back to Kanye's comments about GWB.
theo47says...Sorry, dude.
It was always pretty obvious to me that FOX deliberately puts extremists on to give their audience the impression that everyone left of them are nuts - and here are a bunch of examples of that put together. I've seen others that aren't in this compilation -- apparently, Bill O'Reilly really believes the Black Panthers are a gathering threat to America.
spoco2says...I've watched the whole of OutFoxed (these clips are not from that, but post it), and it, along with these further clips, really do make me scared for the general mindspace of mainstream America. I see similar things happening with the media here in Australia too, and that scares me.
Mindless consumers who just blindly believe what they see on tv scare the shit out of me basically. Especially when the excrement on tv is this right wing.
quantumushroomsays..."Republicans were formed as an anti-slavery party and they believe in a colorblind society, while Democrats supported slavery and were the ones turning water hoses and dogs on black protestors in the sixties. Remember George Wallace? Democrat. Bull Connor? Democrat. But, what about the revolutionary Civil Rights Act of 1964? 82% of Republicans in the Senate voted for it while only 64% of Democrats did. Even today, the driving force behind policies like Affirmative Action is the liberal belief that American blacks are too inferior to make it in America without help from the left. That's why it's too bad so many black Americans have bought into the liberal propaganda about conservatives hating black people. Neither the left nor the right has a monopoly on bigots, but far more of them are on the left than the right."
theo47says...Ooh, an unattributed quote, in boldface for emphasis. Nice job, QM.
And as anyone with a functioning brain realizes, institutionalized racism was clearly more a question of North and South than it ever was Republican and Democrat. Once LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act, all the good racists left the Democratic Party and ran straight for the Republicans, where they stay to this day.
Isn't that right, QM?
NordlichReitersays...One thing is for certain, no one is treated equal. Equality like freedom is mostly and illusion for our mindless consumers to keep the with out a mind. If you want to be treated equal you have to fight for it no matter who you are, (non violent fighting works best). Ill explain; if you do every thing in your power to do with out resorting to violence, and the other side takes violence as an action you have already won the battle! We are so close to actually have a majority of very good people who can make the "Color Blind society" work that this crap that the media puts out there is sickening.
A quote i saw on a classmates shirt today: "Violence is the last refuge of the Incompetent." - Ive seen many violent things happen because of racism, and I have been the victim of racial slurs as a Caucasian child in the south from people of my race, and other races. These things cause quick tempered reactions.
What we must understand is that the Civil rights act is only a piece of paper, it comes down to groups of people and their actions toward a minute few. Examples whats to keep a group of policemen for shooting a suspect because he is black or white? I think that a piece of government paper is not going to stop that bullet, or that night stick. Its the meaning of that paper that will check that bullet before it is fired, or break that night stick before or after it falls on the heads of those being beaten. We must endure to teach our children, and all those around us that Violence is not an answer to anything, and to approach any situation with violence as a first action is an undertaking of complete stupidity.
quantumushroomsays...Factual and historical evidence has a way of doing to liberal revisionism what sunlight does to vampires. A few drive-by media edited FOX snippets arranged to suggest racism where there is none doesn't impress. We all know the drive-bys offer a free pass to overtly racist comments by leftists, and there are plenty in addition to the usual condescension and arrogance. Help yourself, and never mind the source, these good leftists actually said this crap:

The Democratic Party has done more harm to American blacks than any klan. To this day, Robert "KKK" Byrd is the longest-serving member of the Senate in history.

The key issue rarely discussed in these political "dialogues" is who are the optimists and who are the pessimists? Liberals by and large are pessimists without the charm of a Mark Twain. They believe that everything is a con job and America is the worst country in history, an evil, unfair place where success is a matter of raw luck, not skill or working hard.
How awful to be a liberal and have to wear a mantle of defeat all the time, pathologically hating Bush to boot. It is truly lamentable that slightly less than one half of the country remains under the spell of a party that gains its power appealing to class envy and the poisonous luxury of personal victimhood.
How much time do you want to spend listening to those who tell you, "You can't do it, the System is rigged." That's what liberalism is today. The inmates run the asylum.

When you get down off your horse, come talk to the normal folk.
theo47says...I do find it adorable to read QM's Rush-speak (drive-by media, drive-by media, drive-by media) and the demonization of liberals that's been drilled into his tiny, tiny brain.
It's not Bush-hating, jackass - it's a consistent record of misdeeds from 9/11 to Iraq to Valerie Plame to Dick Cheney and on and on. All you ever hear from QM and his ilk is a paranoia about liberalism that wasn't true in McCarthy's time and certainly isn't any moreso today.
I feel sad for QM, I really do. 6 years of the worst executive and legislative branches in history, and the "Party of Personal Responsibility" still has to point their fingers elsewhere. Beyond pathetic.
segn66says...If any thing in the video was politically slanted it was the makers of it themselves. As to whether the Fox people are racists? Are you all serious? This sounds like some more Fox-Nazi crap that the radicals on the left subscribed to in 2004, which i believe, lost it for the Dems.
Chaucersays...Didnt seem like fox put on extremist to me.. It just seemed like they were interviewing people, black and white, that are smart enough to not buy into the caricatures of the black race. I do think some black leaders, such as Jesse Jackson, are racist because that is what keeps them in power. All of my black friends have expressed opinions along these lines and I definately wouldnt say they are extremist.
theo47says...That Kool-Aid is tasty, isn't it, guys?
Farhad2000says...Interviewing? You mean more like looking for the most fringe non-representative person to make commentary?
Chaucersays...most fringe non-representative people they were not. Like I said, my black friends have opinions along these lines. Besides for the murder-eat-chicken guy, he kind of annoyed me.
REDPill357says...Oh yeah. Right just because he says, "chicken," we're supposed to believe he hates all black people. Maybe KFC was the first fast-food place to pop into his head.
"That Kool-Aid is tasty, isn't it, guys? " - theo47
Isn't talking to yourself a sign of mental illness?
theo47says...Gosh, you're clever.
Did you think of that one all by yourself?
Apoptosissays...While the clip is amusing, I'm not a huge fan of sound bites. Too much of the media is dependent on them. However, I would like to add this quote:
Byrd also said in 2005: "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times . . . and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."
QM: If you think Byrd should never be forgiven, then why would you support a drunk/junky like Bush?
I hear conservatives say they only want to talk facts and the liberals only call names. Then the Conservative turns around and calls the liberal names (elitist, anyone). As a moderate, I'd be amused if the two groups weren't trying to tear the country apart.
MrFisksays...Wretched.
