This is THE AD that made me want to play GTA IV. Until now, I was terribly disappointed with San-Andreas, and with what previews of IV I had seen. But this... this is pure gold. They've won me over.

Haha, ya I've never been into the GTA series, but this ad is pretty funny and can probably be enjoyed by people who have no interest in video games.

Maybe this ad is an indication that Rockstar is branching out into the educational video game genre. Don't be surprised if they rename the game:

"GTA: A Video Game for Kids Who want To Read Good and Learn to do Other Stuff Good Too (like shoot pedestrians and have sex with hookers)"

It's a bit long for the box, but I think it really demonstrates Rockstar's desire to help kids learn the life skillz they need to succeed.

I may be wrong on this, but it looks like this would be a dupe. Firefly posted this one 2 days 22 hours and 13 minutes ago (as of this writing):

When I hover over the published text for this one it shows as being queued 2 days 15 hours and 44 minutes ago. So it looks to me as if Firefly's was posted 6 and a half hours earlier than this one.

Now firefly's only has 4 votes (at this time) and hasn't been published. If I'm wrong and this one was posted first then life is easy and we discard firefly's. If not I'm not sure if this one should be discarded or what should be done...

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I noticed this as a dupe pretty much as soon as it was posted, but I was feeling lazy and I figured someone else would do something. Next thing I knew it was in the top 15. As for what to do about this, I dunno... perhaps leave it up to firefly?

It's pretty cut and dried. This one should be discarded. However I'd prefer that fizziks do it himself. In the mean time I hope everyone who voted for this video goes to firefly's version and upvotes it.

Shux, well as much as I would love the votes, it seems I was beat fair and square. Just for the record, I did do an extensive search before posting and couldn't find it on the sift. Maybe it was the tags, or something weird I'm doing with the search?

Anyway, if there is some way to transfer these votes to Firefly that seems fair to me. Could we not just merge this post with Firefly's?

Maybe you could wait to discard this video so that hopefully more people will be see this in Sift Talk and cast their votes for firefly's. But it's your queue, so if you want to discard it now so that you can post another video no one will hold it against you. Only a relatively small percentage of sifters pay attention to Sift Talk anyway, so maybe it would be better to discard it now.

Hmmm, that's a shame. It seems stupid to not have ONE of these on the front page since people obviously liked it, and it seems stupid to have everyone see it again. Can't we continue this posting, but just reassign it to Firefly? (obviously not since I'm sure this has come up before).

Haha, thanks. I understand that thems the rules, so there's no hard feelings on my end. It's just a shame this can't be fixed in some easy way.

It's obvious what should be happening...shit or get off the pot! Good vid, firefly is around and not chiming in, the newbie and the ff collided in a similar moment of thought and purity, hence, the connection.....we'll no doubt see some kissy-kissy real soon, discuss if you muss, let the submitters sort out the fuss......

With a gold star come certain rights and privileges, not to mention responsibilities including wielding the painful nochannel scalpel and other admin actions. While I take no pleasure in *discarding a video that's doing well on the charts and especially from a young new Sifter who has lots of great sifting ahead of them, it is what we do here. Heck, I also noticed that this vid first - which has some awesome comedy I might add which I should channelize at http://www.videosift.com/video/Be-a-Hero-join-the-LCPD - as second voter, so the timing of my comment vs.
